About the Role
As a Pastoral Manager you’ll take the lead in enabling your team to meet our young people’s emotional needs. You’ll ensure they receive high standard care by working with families and developing individual programmes.
With experience in supporting young people with BESD or ASD you will understand developmental needs and the pastoral care required.
A good listener who can motivate your team, you will inspire young people to achieve. Flexibility, good organisational skills and the ability to manage a team are essential.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the pastoral team to provide emotional and behavioural support to children and young people.
* Develop and implement individual programmes, set expectations and review progress with families.
* Maintain high standards of care and support the team in delivering them.
* Motivate, support and supervise staff to ensure effective pastoral practices.
Qualifications & Experience
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience with ASC, ADHD or SEMH pupils and working with families in challenging circumstances.
* Experience of multi‑agency work with understanding of legislation, policies and guidance around safeguarding and child protection.
* NVQ 3 in Care / Level 2 Teaching Assistant Qualification.
* Ideally a leadership‑related qualification.
* Experience in Positive Behaviour Support (PBS).
* Experience of staff appraisal/performance management and supervision.
