Due to continued growth, a highly respected and well-established law firm in Leeds is seeking Legal Secretaries to join its Real Estate and Family teams. The firm is open to candidates ranging from junior Legal Assistants looking to progress, through to experienced Legal Secretaries seeking a like-for-like move.
The Role
You will provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to fee earners within either the Real Estate or Family team. While the exact work will vary slightly depending on the department, this is a varied and busy role offering exposure to high-quality legal work and a supportive, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
Providing full secretarial and administrative support to fee earners
High-quality document production (track changes, styles, cross-referencing, house style)
Updating the case management system and assisting with client billing
Opening new client instructions
Proofreading documents and correspondence
Preparing court bundles and associated documents
Using digital dictation to produce correspondence
Diary management and arranging travel
Liaising with clients in a professional and courteous manner
Assisting with internal and external events
General administration including scanning, filing, archiving, and photocopying
About You
Previous experience in a legal environment (Legal Assistant, Junior Legal Secretary, or Legal Secretary)
Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
Confident document production and proofreading ability
Professional communication skills and a client-focused approach
Comfortable managing multiple tasks and priorities
Proactive, reliable, and a strong team player
Experience in Real Estate or Family law is advantageous but not essential

Salary: up to £35,000 DOE
