Working pattern
16 hours weekly (Typical shifts Monday, Wednesday and Friday and either Saturday or Sunday). Some flexibility is required to accommodate our clients needs and activities, particularly during school holidays. Shifts may involve lone working or working with the client’s family.
Pay
£15 per hour

Role summary
We are seeking a caring, reliable female support worker to assist a 14-year-old girl with Down syndrome after school, on weekends and during school holidays. The role involves providing personal care, promoting independence, supporting social participation, and ensuring safety at the home and community. The ideal candidate will have experience in disability support, excellent communication skills and a person-centred approach that empowers our client to achieve her goals.

Training and requirements
A full induction and training will be provided. This role is subject to an Enhanced level DBS.
Essential Information
* Have experience of working with children who have high care needs.
* Be able to drive and be willing to drive the family van.
* Have the ability to work your hours flexibly.
* Ability to swim.
* Be willing to register with Social Care Wales.
