The national decontamination agenda addresses public health priorities related to the control and prevention of Healthcare-Associated Infections and iatrogenic transmission. NHSScotland Assure (NHSSA) leads in decontamination, partnering with the Scottish Government Health Directorate and other NHS bodies.
The Post
The Decontamination Team within NHSScotland Assure undertakes projects for the Scottish Government Health Directorate to improve decontamination of medical devices in central, endoscope, and local units across NHS Scotland and the independent sector.
The Candidate
We are looking for a Senior Technical Advisor to join the Decontamination Team, providing extensive knowledge to support the programme of work and leading knowledge management processes to promote best practice in decontamination across care settings.
You will have extensive experience in decontamination practices or a relevant clinical area, with knowledge of quality management systems, guidance and standards, technical requirements, decontamination legislation, and SGHD communications. You will have experience of managing staff and strong communication, interpersonal, leadership and organisational skills.
Location and Working Pattern
Hybrid working with a contractual base in Glasgow, Edinburgh, or Lanarkshire. Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week. It is a condition of employment that you live and remain a UK resident for the post.
