The Role
The NPD Food Technologist will work as part of a team who are focused on creating and developing new market ready products for current and new customers. To achieve this the post holder must have a sound knowledge of the Company’s current products, be forward thinking and stay ahead of consumer taste trends and be able to match recipes to factory processes. A key requirement will therefore be having a sound understanding of the production process.
Key Responsibilities
1. Aiding with the development of new viable market ready products in line with current market trends.
2. Keeping up to date with nutritional guidelines and market trends and implementing them into new and existing products.
3. Managing the critical path of projects.
4. Liaising with internal and external customers as and when required.
5. Running factory trials of new products.
6. Packaging and sending samples of products to customers.
7. Presenting and demonstrating new products to existing and new customers.
8. Ensuring all developments satisfy price, quality, technical and operational parameters.
9. Maintaining all relevant paperwork.
10. Liaising with relevant departments to keep them up to date with the progress of projects.
11. Liaising with and assisting the Head of Development and Development Chef.
12. Contributing to the overall commercial strategy and growth of the business.
13. Any ad hoc duties required to ensure the NPD kitchen runs effectively.

Qualifications and Experience
1. Experience of working in a kitchen or in product development.
2. Have an understanding of ingredients and nutrition.
Hours of Work
1. Hours of work will be Monday to Friday from 8.00am to 5.00pm.
