An exciting opportunity has arisen for two Clinical Pharmacists (1 x 37.5hrs / 1 x 18.75) to join our Pharmacy Clinical Trials team at UHL The Pharmacy Clinical Trials service at University Hospitals of Leicester (UHL) is a key part of the clinical research multi-disciplinary team which aims to provide a safe and efficient service in the conduct of Investigational Medicinal Product (IMP) studies across UHL’s three sites. The Pharmacy Clinical Trials service is a friendly, varied and busy service with a portfolio of around 200 IMP studies. You must have recent experience within a UK hospital pharmacy environment and be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council. If you are proactive, innovative, organised and enthusiastic and possess the qualities and skills essential for this post, then we look forward to hearing from you. Previous clinical trial experience is desirable but not essential, as appropriate training and support will be provided. UHL is one of the largest and busiest teaching Trusts in the country and provides care to over one million people in Leicestershire and Rutland. Leicester is a vibrant city with excellent transport links. The post holders will be expected to risk assess new protocols and help confirm capability and capacity in pharmacy to the research and development department. You will be working closely with the teams of technicians and assistants, and manage members of the trials team. You will be responsible for the co-ordination and day to day support of commercial and non-commercially sponsored clinical trials and work closely with Clinical Management Groups and research teams based at the Leicester Royal Infirmary or Glenfield Hospital sites to facilitate excellent delivery of research within this area. Our new strategy, developed with the support and feedback of colleagues, patients, and partners, is our compass for the next seven years (2023-2030). We Have Four Primary Goals high-quality care for all, being a great place to work, partnerships for impact, and research and education excellence And we will embed health equality in all we do - taking active steps to reduce the avoidable differences in healthcare that some people face, working in partnership with communities. Our strategy is underpinned by new values and we will work to ensure they are an everyday reality for all: we are compassionate, we are proud, we are inclusive, and we are one team This is an exciting moment as we look to the future with clarity on what we already do well and where we need to focus our energies to make an even bigger difference for the people we serve.
