PLEASE NOTE: This is a North West focused role requiring regular engagement with the Architecture & Design community, Design & Build firms, flooring contractors and commercial project stakeholders across the region.

Are you a commercially focused specification driven sales professional with experience influencing projects across the Architecture & Design community, Design & Build sector and contractor network?
We are working with a highly respected, well-established manufacturer of design led, sustainable floor covering solutions, specified into commercial workplaces, education environments, hospitality venues and large scale multi residential developments across the international commercial interiors market.
With more than 25 years of expertise in the flooring sector, the business has built a strong reputation for innovation, sustainability and contemporary design, partnering with architects, designers and contractors to deliver flooring solutions across some of the most exciting commercial environments.
This is an opportunity to represent a progressive, design driven flooring manufacturer with a strong sustainability agenda and a versatile product portfolio that is increasingly specified across the UK commercial interiors market.
The role offers genuine autonomy and influence for someone who enjoys developing relationships across the specification community while building a strong project pipeline across the North West region.
The Role
This is a regional specification sales role focused on driving awareness, generating project pipeline and converting opportunities across the Northwest commercial interiors market.
You will operate across a mixed stakeholder base including:
* Architects & Interior Designers
* Design & Build / Fit Out firms.
* Flooring Contractors and Specialist Subcontractors
* End Users and Commercial Developers
The role typically operates across a balanced market mix of approximately:
* 40% Flooring Contractors and Specialist Flooring Partners
* 30% Architecture & Design Community
* 30% Design & Build / Fit Out Contractors
Success in the role comes from building strong relationships across the full project ecosystem, influencing flooring specification at concept stage and protecting specification through to contractor award and final order.
You will take ownership of your territory, project pipeline and commercial performance, working closely with internal colleagues across specification, marketing and technical teams to ensure opportunities are developed and successfully converted.
Responsibilities
* Raise brand awareness and network across the Northwest Architecture & Design community and wider commercial interiors market
* Develop relationships with architects, interior designers, Design & Build firms and flooring contractors across the region
* Identify and track specification opportunities across workplace, education, hospitality and multi residential sectors
* Influence flooring selection during early project stages through design engagement and specification activity
* Work closely with flooring contractors and project stakeholders to convert specifications into secured orders
* Deliver CPDs, product presentations, showroom meetings and project consultations
* Develop strategic territory plans to grow market share and commercial performance
* Attend networking events, exhibitions and industry functions to strengthen brand presence
* Maintain accurate pipeline reporting and activity management via CRM systems
* Collaborate closely with internal colleagues to ensure specification protection and successful project delivery
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required
Essential experience and attributes include:
* Proven track record in specification or commercial sales of flooring, interior finishes or related interior product solutions
* Established relationships across architects, interior designers, Design & Build firms or contractor networks within the North West
* Strong understanding of the commercial interiors project lifecycle and long specification lead times
* Demonstrated ability to develop pipeline and convert opportunities into commercial success
* Excellent relationship building, presentation and communication skills
* Ability to operate autonomously within a field-based territory role
* Commercial awareness with a strong business development mindset
* Passion for design led interior products and sustainable solutions
The Person
This role will suit someone who enjoys operating across the commercial interiors ecosystem and building relationships with designers, contractors and project stakeholders.
You are confident engaging with architects and designers at concept stage, equally comfortable working with contractors during delivery phases, and motivated by building long term project pipelines.
You are commercially driven, relationship focused and enjoy developing market share across a defined territory.
