Job Description
Hedge Accountant AVP - Corporate Investment Bank
* Manage and oversee all aspects of hedge accounting
* Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations [former IAS 32/39 - IFRS 9 Impairments, Cash Flow, Fair Value]
* Prepare and present detailed reports on hedge activities [products sitting at global level - FX / IR / Credit / Net Investment Hedging] and performance [MI]
* Collaborate with internal teams to improve financial efficiency and profitability
* Identify and mitigate financial risks related to hedging
* Stay up-to-date on changes in financial regulations and standards
* Contribute to the development and implementation of department goals and strategies
* Provide guidance and support to junior team members
The Successful Applicant
Hedge Accountant AVP - Corporate Investment Bank
A successful Hedge Accountant AVP should have:
* A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
* Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA, CPA, all others welcome)
* Excellent Excel skills (VBA, SQL, Python highly desirable but not necessary)
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations - knowledge of language of Hedge Accounting (Cash Flow, Fair Value)
* Experience with hedge accounting in the financial services industry
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
* Strong communication and leadership abilities
