We are looking to recruit an ambitious Apprentice Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Engineering Design Department. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers, develop valuable technical skills, and gain a nationally recognised qualification in Mechanical Engineering through your apprenticeship and work towards a degree in the future.

The Role:
* Work alongside and support qualified Design Engineers in real-world engineering projects
* Assist with CAD (Computer Aided Design), stress analysis, prototyping, and 3D printing
* Complete assigned coursework and training modules to a high standard
* Participate in a minimum of 20% off-the-job training
* Build your knowledge of mechanical design principles and engineering verification
* Demonstrate the commitment and behaviours of a future Mechanical Design Engineer
Training and Development:
* Up to 3 Years
* Structured training programme, combining hands-on experience with academic learning. (Year 1: full-time academic, Year 2: working with the employer, with 1 academic day, Year 3: full time with the employer)
* Attend internal and external training courses as part of your qualification
* Work toward a Level 3 qualification in Mechanical Engineering
* Support to continue professional development and work towards a degree after initial apprenticeship
Requirements:
* A minimum of 4 GCSEs at Grade 9 to 5 (A-C), including Maths, English and a science-related subject
* A strong interest in engineering and designeither from school, college, or personal interests
* IT literate, with familiarity using Microsoft Word and Excel
* Motivated, reliable, and eager to learn
* A practical mindset with an eye for detail
