Role Summary
GAP Group Apprentices are a key part of ensuring our Depots have the right level of expertise, today, tomorrow and in future. As an Apprentice Hire & Sales Co‑ordinator (HSC) you will be enrolled in a blended learning programme where you will gain NVQ Level 2 in Hire Desk Operations through a mixture of on‑the‑job experience and online training through a leading training provider. Our 2‑Year Apprenticeship Programme covers all the essential skills and principles you will need to become an HSC, including running an effective hire desk, stock control and purchasing, driving sales and managing customer queries, co‑ordinating drivers to fulfil customers’ needs, and studying customer service and sales skills, back‑office administration and credit control.
Responsibilities
* Run an effective hire desk, including stock control and purchasing.
* Drive sales and manage customer queries effectively.
* Coordinate drivers and ensure customers’ needs are met.
* Perform back‑office administration and credit control for the hire desk.
Qualifications
* 4 GCSE grades C/D (or equivalent).
* A keen interest in customer service and sales.
* High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
* Good communication and IT skills.
Compensation & Work Hours
Apprentices under 18 will work up to 39 hours per week with a starting salary of £16,224 per annum. Apprentices over 18 will work up to 42.5 hours per week with a starting salary of £17,860 per annum. After successful completion of Year 1, you will automatically be placed on the national minimum wage rate for your age group.
