Solar PV Design Engineer X2 - Home based - Operator
Due to rapid growth in the energy sector, we have an exciting opportunity for a multi-skilled Solar PV Technical Design Engineer.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to take the next step in their career and make a significant impact on one of the world’s leading energy suppliers.
Key responsibilities include
* Leading on designs including shading analysis, 3D modelling, electrical single-line diagrams, panel schedules, and connection diagrams, using AutoCAD software.
* Performing computer simulation of solar PV generation system performance or energy production to optimize efficiency.
* Reviewing and approving solar PV designs and recommending technical design or process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, or performance.
What we need from you
* 7-10 years of experience in Solar PV design.
* Engineering/design skills with a proven track record on various PV schemes; both rooftop and ground mount.
* Strong familiarity with PV manufacturers and components.
* Detailed design experience in small wiring, containment, as-built drawings, scaffolding, and fall arrest/work restraint.
* Working knowledge of standard and advanced PC software tools (such as MS Office, AutoCAD, PV*SOL/PVSyst, modelling software) with willingness to learn new tools.
* Substantial knowledge of current legislation regarding HSSE, construction, and services installation.
* Thorough understanding, detailed experience, and formal training in CDM responsibilities.
