About the role
CATT UK are looking for a tax technology focused Director to lead allaspects of service delivery to the business. Reporting directly to the taxtechnology leadership team and accountable to the Tax Board, this offers highlevels of autonomy, and the opportunity to make a significant contribution toRSM nationally with potential to make an impact on the global stage. Responsibilities:
1. Leading and driving the successful delivery of multiple projects to technically robust outcomes by allocating resource, deploying relevant skill sets, designing solution architecture, appropriate use of governance procedures, and continued improvement of processes.
2. Primary responsibility for the management of our CATT UK team including project allocation, people development and career conversations, ensuring adequate support and guidance is provided to all team members.
3. Taking an active role in launch processes across our tax business and ensuring demonstrable return on investment is achieved.
4. Pivotal in the continuation and development of the technology service offering by actively leading initiatives to develop multiple tax technology solutions and working with our specialist data analytics, data visualisation, developer and innovation teams.
5. Collaborating with our client facing teams to produce the best possible service for our clients and RSM.

The CATT UK team is largely London-based and theideal candidate should look to ‘lead from the front‘ with a visible presence inthis office to drive team dynamics. However, RSM offers flexible and hybridworking, so full-time in-office working is not required and we inviteindividuals to submit their views on the best approach based on their experienceand location.
About the ideal candidate
The successful applicant will have previous experience of working in apractice firm with a background in and a passion for the delivery of multiple, complex,interconnected and wide-ranging technology projects. You will also be proactive,with exhibited strategic-thinking and the ability to commit to deliveringpositive outcomes. A track-record of leading a fast-growing team(s) anddeveloping staff utilising excellent coaching skills is essential.
The ideal candidate will also have a strong awareness of relevanttechnology challenges, solutions and systems within the accountancy sector,preferably in relation to the provision of tax services, and knowledge ofapplying governance models to ensure safe and effective implementations. Familiaritywith data analytics processes (ideally using Alteryx, Python, etc.), datavisualisation products (such as Power BI etc.) and/or developing technologies(for instance AI, LML, RPA, etc.) would enhance your application. You must havean awareness of Making Tax Digital.
Theability to make decisions and operate autonomously where appropriate whilst remainingmindful on when to seek help from or collaborate with colleagues is important. Strongverbal and written skills are essential and previous involvement in launchcommunications is beneficial.
