Role: Interim Financial Accounts Manager (13 Months FTC)

We are looking for a Financial Accounts Manager who will play a key role in delivering financial stability, compliance, and process excellence across the Marlowe Environmental Services Group.
Role Responsibilities
* Lead month‑end financial activities including reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, payroll postings and expense processes.
* Ensure statutory compliance with VAT, CIS, and other financial reporting requirements.
* Oversee and improve financial controls, reconciliation quality, and month‑end efficiency.
* Supervise and support three direct reports, providing leadership, coaching, and workload oversight.
* Review payroll postings, expense transactions, credit card processing, and reimbursement accruals to ensure accuracy and compliance.
* Oversee bonus and commission calculations to ensure timely and accurate processing.
* Lead intercompany reporting processes across the group.
* Review quarterly VAT returns across 14 entities to ensure accuracy and compliance.
* Develop and implement process improvements to enhance operational finance performance.
* Build strong collaboration with Finance Shared Services and wider business teams.
* Develop performance KPIs and monitor output quality across the finance team.
Required Qualifications
* ACA or CIMA qualified (or newly qualified).
* Strong foundation in financial reporting, compliance, and accounting controls.
* Advanced Excel proficiency, including complex formulas, data analysis, and modelling.
* Experience with Sage 200 preferred; willingness to learn new systems essential.
* Familiarity with CIS processes is advantageous.
