Associate/Senior Associate – Real Estate Finance
We are newly recruiting for an Associate or Senior Associate to join our Real Estate Finance team in Glasgow or Edinburgh. This role is offered on a full-time, flexible working basis and is aimed at a qualified lawyer with 3+ years PQE.
TLT’s Real Estate Finance team is part of our Investment and Asset Management group, focusing on investment, portfolio management, finance, planning, construction, environmental, development, and dispute resolution across the UK.
Your Role
* Deal with all aspects of real estate finance transactions, acting for multiple lender clients.
* Handle all aspects of real estate due diligence, drafting, negotiation, and managing matters to completion.
* Deal with post‑completion formalities, including registration in the Land Register of Scotland and at Companies House.
* Nurture existing and new client relationships, running own files with early responsibility for delivery of transactions.
* Provide clients with a quality service in accordance with the Firm’s procedures.
* Identify opportunities for business development and enhance the current services we offer.
* Support and supervise junior team members, assisting in their development.
Your Skills & Experience
* A Scottish‑qualified lawyer with 3+ years PQE and previous real estate finance experience.
* A forward thinker with excellent analytical, communication and organisational skills, self‑motivated with the ability to manage workloads and deadlines.
* Commercial awareness with enthusiasm for business development and an appetite to keep up to date with the latest developments in your practice area and sector focus.
* Ability to understand client business needs and act in the best interests of the firm and the client.
* Ambitious and enthusiastic team player capable of supporting senior fee earners and contributing to a collaborative culture.
