Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced pharmacist to join our medical pharmacy team who will improve medication safety for patients within admissions and medicine.
Responsibilities
* Integrate within multidisciplinary teams and support guideline, protocol and service development across Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board.
* Undertake quality improvement initiatives, review clinical practice and processes, develop staff and patient education, and review incidents with relevant teams.
* Provide leadership and clinical expertise to other pharmacists and technicians within the IHC.
* Work as part of a ward-based team and across the wider East IHC.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (or equivalent) and current registration as a pharmacist.
* Experience in a clinical pharmacist role with a keen interest in emergency medicine and admissions.
* Ability to work towards or hold an independent prescribing qualification.
* Excellent communication, time management, interpersonal and organisational skills.
* Ability to liaise with and influence senior clinical staff across all sectors of the East IHC.
* Proficiency in English is required; Welsh speaking is desirable.

The post is based in the central area of North Wales with Wrexham Maelor hospital as the base.
