EQUANS is looking for a BUE Technician to work on behalf of our EDF contract in Carlisle. This is a permanent, full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week, with a competitive salary and benefits package.
General Overview:
The Depot Maintenance Technician, preferably with electrical experience, will play a key role in maintaining high standards in work order completion according to Planned Maintenance Schedules for Emergency Deployable equipment, including Generators, Lighting Towers, Fuel IBC/Trailers. The technician will provide first-line maintenance, ensuring equipment readiness for emergency deployment in the Nuclear Industry. Responsibilities include fault finding, diagnosis, and participation in deployment configuration and post-deployment assessment.
The role involves supporting training activities, equipment movement, and adhering to health and safety procedures, including risk assessments, tool maintenance, and work area safety.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Experience with plant and diesel engines, mechanical and electrical understanding is preferred.
* Possession of an LGV Licence and experience with Fork Lift Trucks are desirable but not essential.
* Relevant mechanical qualifications such as NVQ2, City and Guilds, or equivalent, are required.
* Training will be provided, including on-the-job and manufacturer training.
