 
        
        SEND Teaching Assistant – Rowde (Devizes) – Full-Time
Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs? We’re looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive specialist school in the Rowde area, working full-time to make a genuine difference every day.
This is a rewarding and hands-on role supporting pupils aged 4–19 with a range of needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, Complex Learning Difficulties, and PMLD. You’ll help students engage with learning, build confidence, and develop key life skills in a nurturing environment.
About the Role
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:
Support pupils 1:1 and in small groups within the classroom.
Help deliver engaging lessons and activities under the guidance of the teaching team.
Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
Assist with personal care and mobility support when required.
Build trusting relationships that encourage independence and progress.
Extra training and ongoing professional development can be provided if needed.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will:
Be patient, empathetic, and enthusiastic about supporting young people.
Be comfortable working with children with additional or complex needs.
Be willing to assist with personal care and moving & handling.
Be a strong communicator and positive team player.
Hold a DBS on the Update Service (preferred) or be willing to obtain one.
Experience in education or care is desirable but not essential — a genuine passion and commitment to helping children thrive are what matter most.

Salary
£13.68 to £13.68 per hour
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
Have a desire to work within education.
Have/ be willing to obtain an enhanced DBS check.
