Job Description
We are currently looking for a Layout Engineer to support a major EPR nuclear project based on the Hinkley Point C construction site. This role will be part of the on-site Joint Design Office (JDO), embedded within the Layout Team.
🔧 Main Responsibilities:
* Assess site requests for potential impact on the plant layout
* Collect and analyze inputs across disciplines and contractors
* Provide clear and justified technical assessments, including:
* 3D models and installation tolerances
* Interface considerations and design intent compliance
* Proposal of 3D model updates (with CAD team support)
* Coordinate with HVAC, piping, civil, electrical, and equipment disciplines
* Communicate with design back-offices and construction/installation teams
* Launch and monitor change implementation processes
* Report progress, identify risks, raise alerts, and document lessons learned
* Participate in layout team meetings and support continuous improvement
