Overview
Equans is looking for a Project Manager to join our team at the Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy. This is a full-time permanent role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, company car or car allowance and excellent benefits package.
We’re seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to oversee the full lifecycle of projects within our Sustainable Facilities Management division. You’ll be responsible for the planning, delivery, and quality assurance of infrastructure-related projects – including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fabric, and other key systems. Your role is pivotal in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance – including CDM 2015, HASAWA 1974, NHS and internal policies.
Responsibilities
* Lead the delivery of infrastructure upgrade, maintenance, and lifecycle projects from start to finish
* Develop detailed project plans, scopes, budgets, timelines, and procurement documentation
* Ensure compliance with all legislation, standards, and stakeholder requirements
* Be the key point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and internal teams
* Provide clear project updates and manage expectations throughout the delivery lifecycle
* Allocate labour, equipment, and materials efficiently
* Monitor financial performance and deliver accurate reporting to senior management
* Proactively manage risks and implement mitigation plans
* Conduct site inspections and ensure all work meets regulatory, client, and internal standards
* Lead external subcontractor teams in sensitive, live operational environments (e.g., healthcare)
* Support a collaborative and high-performing team culture
* Maintain comprehensive project documentation including change orders, O&M manuals, drawings, and governance reports
* Manage seamless project close-out and client handover processes
Qualifications
* Essential: HNC/HND in an engineering discipline
* CDM Awareness, SMSTS/APM PMQ
* Previous experience in project management within hard services or infrastructure
* Full UK Driving Licence
* Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and team leadership skills
* Excellent IT proficiency including Microsoft Office and CAFM systems
* Able to obtain and maintain a clean Disclosure Scotland to PVG Level
* Desirable: Healthcare sector experience and understanding of SHTM guidelines
* Previous work in live operational environments (e.g., hospitals)
* Technical qualifications relating to building services or compliance frameworks (BREEAM, NEAT, etc.)
