I am recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer on behalf of a well-established food manufacturing client in the Aberdeenshire area. This is a pivotal role in maintaining high standards of efficiency, safety, and productivity within their operations.

Responsibilities:
Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on machinery and equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Troubleshoot and repair systems to minimise downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and spare parts inventory.
Collaborate with other departments to address maintenance requirements and improve operational processes.
Train team members on best practices for maintenance procedures and safety protocols.
Perform high-quality welding tasks as required, applying mechanical knowledge.
Read and interpret schematics to diagnose equipment malfunctions effectively.
Assemble, install, reposition, and test machinery and equipment as needed.
Carry out planned preventative inspections and maintenance as per schedule, documenting outcomes.
Prioritise workload to support production while ensuring efficient use of time.
Report breakdown root causes, equipment faults, and concerns to management.
Qualifications and Skills:
Experience in a food manufacturing Environment.
Strong mechanical skills with the ability to perform repairs and maintenance efficiently.
Proficiency in English (written and spoken) for effective communication across teams.
Ability to read and interpret technical schematics related to equipment operations and repairs.
