We need a Forensic, Clinical, or Counselling Psychologist who is passionate about helping people with complex mental health needs to join our PICU/Acute service.

Cygnet Bury Dunes:
Cygnet Bury Dunes provides a wide range of inpatient mental health services for men and women, including specialist deaf services and emergency admission services.
Southampton Ward:
Southampton Ward is a 12-bed male PICU accepting emergency and crisis admissions from various sources, including acute and prison services.
White House Ward:
White House is an 18-bed male acute service providing a safe, stabilising environment for men experiencing an acute episode of mental illness requiring emergency admission.
Your Day-to-Day
* You will work 40 hours a week.
* Work as part of a multidisciplinary team (MDT) as a Psychologist.
* Carry out psychological assessments and provide therapy to individuals and groups.
* Develop care plans collaboratively with the MDT.
* Provide training, supervision, and consultation to colleagues and teams.
* Evaluate the service, contribute to its development, and carry out clinical research.
* Disseminate outcomes via conference presentations and publications.
We are looking for someone who is...
* A HCPC registered Psychologist.
* Candidates due to qualify within 6 months are encouraged to apply.
* Previous experience within a secure/forensic setting.
* Preferably trained in complex therapies such as Schema Focused Therapy, EMDR, CAT, and DBT.
* Knowledge and experience of forensic risk assessment.
* Trained in specialised assessments such as IPDE and PCL-R.
* Passionate about working with people with complex mental health needs.
* Capable of treating difficulties such as self-harm, aggression, sexual offending, and substance issues.
