Job overview
We have an exciting opportunity within our theatre resource team for someone to join us as a senior Theatre Resource Worker at our children's site. The successful applicant must have previous experience working as a theatre resource worker in our main theatre stores.
Main duties of the job
To operate as an experienced Theatre Resource Worker, with an ability to teach Band 2 Theatre Resource Workers through to the assessment of competence.
To assist and support all members of the theatre staff/multi-disciplinary team, in providing safe, effective and efficient care to all paediatric patients during their time in theatre.
To lead in the day to day running of the sterile store and Surgical Instrument transportation

Qualifications
* Math’s and English Language GCSE grade C or above or Level 2 functional skills/Key skills in Numeracy and literacy
* Willingness to undertake any competencies necessary for role
Knowledge and Nature of Experience
* Extensive Experience of working in theatre stores
* Have you got previous experience working in a storeroom role?
* Punctual and flexible across hours of work when required
* Ability to prioritise tasks as part of a team
Analytical and Judgement Skills
* Be able to elevate problems when required and report back to supervising practitioner
* Able to recognise limitations
Professional/Managerial/Specialist Knowledge
* Able to access the internet/intranet without instruction

MENTAL HEALTH DIVISION:
Our current Mental Health Services division Tier 4 services may be transferring the provision if its services to Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust (CWPT). Whilst at present you are applying for a position within Birmingham Women’s and Children’s NHS Foundation should you be successful in gaining a position with Mental Health Services, your employment may in the future be transferred over to CWPT.
