We're looking for a Pre-Construction Manager to join our Western & Wales team based in Oxford.
Location: Abingdon, Oxfordshire - remote working available but expectation is minimum 60% office based with occasional travel to our Gloucester office
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
What will you be responsible for?
As a Pre-Construction Manager you'll be working within the Pre-Construction team, leading two-stage/negotiated and single stage tenders for projects ranging in value from £5m to £75m across a range of sectors, including Science & Technology Education, Commercial, Leisure and Health.
Your day to day will include:
* Lead the bid strategy from tender receipt to start on site: Contribute to and create our bid win plan, then consistently communicate this to the team throughout so that the bid is developed in line with the strategy, as well as motivate and lead a bid team
* You will: • Understand the entire bid submission and influence our approach to align with the 'win plan.' • Revisit the strategy when needed. Introduce relevant ‘Value Engineering' and encourage innovative thinking • Be accountable for everything that goes into the bid. • Define and shape the visual presentation of the submission.
* Liaise closely with the Client team. Develop relationships and maintain close contact with key decision makers
* Develop the pre contract programme to guide all activities and external consultants
* Working closely with your team to develop the commercial strategy.

* Have excellent communication, presentation and diplomacy skills
* Have experience of site/contract procedures and commercial awareness
* Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure
* Have sufficient experience to develop alternative solutions in order to provide a commercial advantage
