Overview
We are looking for a Therapeutic Radiographer Team Leader to join our friendly team at Ninewells Hospital, Dundee. The post holder is a HCPC‑registered Therapeutic Radiographer with expert knowledge and skills in modern radiotherapy techniques and the application of specialist technologies. The individual should be adaptable, confident with change, and capable of delivering outstanding patient care.
Responsibilities
* Lead and coordinate the radiotherapy team in the pre‑treatment phase, ensuring safe and efficient care.
* Allocate staff and resources to support treatment delivery and maintain service continuity.
* Manage complex and stressful situations with calm efficiency and strong attention to detail.
* Rotate through the pre‑treatment section including Planning, CT scanner, Data entry and Mould room.
* Deliver holistic, high‑quality care to patients, families, friends, and carers.
Qualifications
* HCPC Registered Therapeutic Radiographer.
* Expertise in modern radiotherapy techniques and specialist technologies.
* Experience with Varian linear accelerators, Canon Aquillion Wide Bore CT scanner, HDR brachytherapy, and Raystation treatment planning system.
* High technical proficiency and proven experience in providing holistic high‑quality patient care.
* Leadership experience with demonstrated ability to lead change in a clinical environment.
* Excellent communication, decision‑making and organisational skills.
Hours & Location
36 hours per week (part‑time hours considered). The post is based at Ninewells Hospital, Dundee.
