Band 8a – 37 hrs
With effect from 01 April 2026, NHS Scotland is reducing its full‑time working week from 37 to 36 hours per week; there will be no change in full‑time pay.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for individuals to apply for these Principal Radiography posts. One is based at Ninewells Hospital and the other at Perth Royal Infirmary/Stracathro.
This role will support the Imaging and Sector Managers, lead and influence the day‑to‑day operational and clinical management of the NHS Tayside Imaging service in the relevant sector, ensure standards of practice are maintained and staff governance standards are met. This post also includes a clinical commitment.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate clinical and managerial experience in an imaging environment, showing effective leadership, organisational, communication and workforce skills. Candidates must possess a postgraduate qualification or equivalent in an appropriate area of clinical or management practice, demonstrating evidence of continuous professional development. Applicants must be registered with the HCPC as a Diagnostic Radiographer.
