As the DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure and processes that enable continuous integration, delivery, and deployment of software applications. This position will also involve collaborating with development and operations teams to streamline workflows, automate repetitive tasks, and ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of the production environment. The position may involve being available for on-call duties as part of a scheduled roster.

Whatyou'll do

* Lead and manage a team of DevOpsengineersresponsible for the development, deployment, and maintenance of infrastructure and automation systems

* Oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of DevOps products and workflows

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, operations, video engineering, and monitoring, to ensureseamless delivery of infrastructure services

* Monitor and troubleshootinfrastructure delivery issues, ensuring high availability, quality of service

* Implement and manage cost optimization strategies to ensureefficient use of resources and budget control

* Stay current with industrytrends and emergingtechnologies, incorporatingtheminto the team's projects as appropriate

* Providementorship and professionaldevelopmentopportunities for team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement

* Manage team WIP limits, roadmaps, timelines, and resources to ensuresuccessful delivery of multiple projects

Whatyou'llbring

* Experience working on multiple projects as part of a cross-functional team

* Working with architecture teams to design scalable, fault-tolerant, and cost-efficientsolutions

* Passion for researching and implementing new technologies

* Experience with mentoring/knowledge-sharing

* Provenexperience in coding with a programming/scripting language (e.g. Java, Golang, Javascript, Python, Bash)

* Provenexperience in IAC frameworks (e.g. Terraform, Ansible, Pulumi)

* Provenexperience in using LINUX/UNIX

* Provenexperience in using the GitOpsapproach and related tools (e.g. ArgoCD, FluxCD)

* Provenexperience in working with DB (RDBMS or NoSQL)

* Provenexperiencein acontainerizedenvironment (k8s, docker) and tools (kubectl, Helm, kustomize, docker-compose)

* Provenexperience in networking and security standards, protocols and best practices

* Provenexperience in logging systems (e.g. ELK stack)

* Provenexperience in monitoring systems (e.g. Prometheus)

* Provenexperience in tracing systems (e.g. OpenTelemetry, Jaeger)

* Experience in performance optimization and resource management

* Relevantcertifications (AWS, Google)

* Understanding of Agile methodologies

* Ability to diagnose and resolve service-affectingissuesin a Broadcast/Livestreamenvironment

Your office space

Osterley

Our Osterley Campus is a 10-minute walk from Syon Lane train station. Or you can hop on one of our free shuttle buses that run to and from Osterley, Gunnersbury, Ealing Broadway and South Ealing tube stations. There are also plenty of bike shelters and showers.
