Overview
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Transport Manager to oversee the transport operations at our family-run quarry in County Armagh. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a customer-focused approach, and a strong working knowledge of the local area. This role will involve coordinating the logistics for the delivery of aggregates, concrete, and blocks, ensuring timely and efficient service to our customers.

Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 5:00pm
Key Responsibilities
* Customer Service & Communication:
o Answer customer calls, take orders, and address inquiries related to aggregates, concrete, and block products.
o Provide clear, professional, and friendly communication with customers, ensuring a positive experience and high customer satisfaction.
o Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding delivery scheduling, transport issues, and product queries.
* Logistics Coordination:
o Organise and manage delivery schedules for aggregates, concrete, and blocks, ensuring on-time deliveries and alignment with customer specifications.
o Work closely with internal staff and drivers to ensure smooth execution of deliveries.
o Utilise knowledge of County Armagh and surrounding areas to effectively assign drivers to deliveries.
Skills & Qualifications
* Proven experience in transport management, logistics, or a related role (ideally within construction or quarrying).
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise under pressure.
* Excellent organisational skills with keen attention to detail.
* Problem-solving skills with the ability to find practical solutions in a fast-paced environment.
* In-depth knowledge of County Armagh road network and surrounding areas preferred.
