The Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer Role This role is focused on delivering high-quality planned and reactive maintenance across retail and distribution sites. While air conditioning is the core discipline, youll be expected to apply a multi-skilled approach, using solid mechanical and electrical knowledge to support HVAC systems in customer-facing environments. Youll work independently and alongside other engineers or subcontractors to ensure systems remain safe, compliant, and fully operational.
Key Responsibilities Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs Fault-finding and repair across split systems, VRFs, AHUs, DX systems and occasional central plant Supporting upgrade and retrofit works with minimal disruption to trading sites Producing accurate quotations for remedial works and replacements Maintaining FGAS compliance documentation and internal reporting Working closely with site managers, engineers and subcontractors
Essential Skills and Qualifications NVQ Level 2 in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (minimum) F-Gas Certification (C&G 2079 - Category 1) Experience in a mobile commercial or retail maintenance role Strong diagnostic and fault-finding capability Good mechanical and electrical building services knowledge Full UK driving licence with no more than six points
Desirable NVQ Level 3 in Air Conditioning or equivalent
