We're seeking an experienced Multi Skilled Shift Engineer to work efficiently and safely, undertaking repairs and ensuring planned maintenance is completed on schedule. The role involves adhering to Health & Safety policies and complying with the MITIE Maintenance Business Management System. You will be part of a shift team on a rota basis.
You should be capable of maintaining high standards of health and safety, conducting regular monitoring and inspections as part of the preventative maintenance program. The role requires liaising with contractors and external suppliers, clearly communicating technical issues, and ensuring key performance indicators and service levels are met.
Requirements include a full clean driving license, IT literacy, good customer service skills, and the ability to perform duties outlined in the job description. Desirable qualifications include IET or similar membership, IPAF/PASMA certification or willingness to undertake training, and a current 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (2382).
The ideal candidate will have experience in a facilities management building services role, with a NVQ Level 3 trade qualification (Mechanical, Electrical, or BMS) or proven industry experience. Experience with multi-technology systems for PPM and reactive tasks, familiarity with PDA devices, and willingness to travel regionally are expected. Experience working in laboratories and TB (BCG) vaccination or scar evidence are advantageous.
