Not everyone leaves university wanting the typical 9-5. If you're looking for something more active, more people-focused, and more rewarding day-to-day - this could be a great place to start. We're partnering with a number of secondary schools across Fleet and the surrounding areas, offering opportunities for graduates to step into Cover Supervisor roles. No experience working in schools? That's completely fine. What matters here is your confidence, your communication skills, and your ability to take the lead in a classroom. We'll support you with everything else - from training to hands-on experience before you begin. In simple terms, you'll be keeping lessons on track when teachers aren't available. That means you'll: - Deliver lessons using pre-prepared materials - Keep students engaged and focused throughout - Manage behaviour calmly and confidently - Follow each school's routines and expectations - Share feedback with teaching staff after lessons This is more than just a short-term job - it's a chance to explore a potential career path. If teaching has ever crossed your mind, this gives you real insight into what it's actually like, without jumping straight into training. Along the way, you'll build confidence, strengthen your communication skills, and develop leadership qualities that are valuable in any profession. And if you decide education is for you, we can help you take the next step with local teacher training routes, including salaried pathways to QTS. We welcome graduates from all subject areas, including: - English, Maths, and Science - Humanities - Sport & PE - Psychology and related fields But more important than your degree is your approach. You'll do well if you are: - Comfortable speaking in front of groups - Calm and composed under pressure - Adaptable and quick-thinking - Able to build positive relationships - Flexible work that works around you - Opportunities in schools across Fleet - Pay from £120-£130 per day (PAYE) - Free training in behaviour management, SEN, and safeguarding - The chance to experience schools before committing - Ongoing support from a team that genuinely cares At Quokka Education, safeguarding is a priority.
