We have an excellent opportunity for a caring and passionate Deputy Nursery Manager to join this renowned Private Nursery in Leeds.

The nursery is a homely setting, spread over two purpose-built units within the beautiful grounds of Morwick Hall. Each unit is bright, spacious, and well-equipped. The nursery is served by a dedicated team who ensure children receive the best standards of care and are supported in their social, emotional, and academic development.

About the role and responsibilities
The Deputy Nursery Manager reports to the General Manager and supports the overall daily operations of the nursery. They will also manage one of the units (0-2 years or 2-4 years), overseeing daily activities. Responsibilities include:
1. Collaborating with the General Manager and team to ensure smooth daily operations
2. Maintaining high standards of childcare and safeguarding
3. Modeling best practices and leading by example
4. Training and mentoring new staff and those pursuing professional qualifications
5. Building positive relationships with parents
6. Tracking children’s development and maintaining learning journals
7. Caring for children on a daily basis
8. Managing staff performance and motivation, and contributing to parent reviews
About you
To succeed as Deputy Nursery Manager, you should ideally be qualified to Level 3 or above or be an early years professional, and possess:
1. Organizational skills, warmth, charisma, and tact
2. Calmness under pressure, optimism, and problem-solving abilities
3. Previous childcare and people management experience (advantageous)
About the Rewards
The role involves working from 8 am to 6 pm, Monday to Friday, with a salary of £27,664 to £34,580 per annum, based on a 4 or 5-day workweek.
