Company Description

The Meet Point Coffee Ltd is a versatile venue known for hosting corporate hires, events, brand activations, and full catering services. We have previously collaborated with notable brands such as Curry's call centre, Vodafone HQ Newbury, and HONOR UK for flagship phone launches. Specializing in Indian and Bengali food, as well as a variety of street food, we operate successfully across three locations. We provide bespoke menus tailored to the size and needs of any event.

Leadership & Team Management

* Train, and mentor café staff, ensuring each team member is well-versed in customer service, drink preparation, hygiene protocols, and café operations.
* Monitor team performance through regular check-ins and performance reviews, offering guidance and support to help staff grow and improve.

* Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork, accountability, and respect among staff.

* Keep a record of lateness and leaving early times for staff. And send it over weekly.

Customer Experience & Service Quality

* Maintain a strong floor presence, engaging directly with customers and supporting staff during busy periods.

* Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints with professionalism and empathy, ensuring each guest leaves satisfied.

* Ensure consistency in drink and food quality, presentation, and service speed. Recipe book made and kept to.(following the same recipe for food and drinks)

* Promote upselling and customer engagement strategies to increase sales and customer loyalty.(food and drinks samples)

Operations & Efficiency

* Oversee day-to-day café operations, ensuring smooth functioning of all areas including front-of-house, back-of-house, and storage.

* Streamline workflows and implement procedures to improve speed, quality, and efficiency of service.

* Ensure opening and closing procedures are completed accurately and consistently. Deep clean of the café once per week planned in and completed with all tasks completed and faults reported. (check the open and close checklists and weekly cleaning ones)

* Develop and maintain operating manuals and training resources for new and existing staff.

Inventory & Supplier Management

* Manage stock levels of coffee, tea, food items, packaging, and cleaning supplies to prevent shortages or overstocking.

* Conduct regular/weekly/daily inventory counts and place orders based on sales trends and seasonal demands.

* Implement waste reduction practices to improve sustainability and cost-efficiency.

Equipment Maintenance & Safety

* Ensure all coffee machines, grinders, kitchen appliances, and POS systems are functioning properly and well-maintained.
* Schedule and coordinate professional servicing and repairs as needed.

* Train staff on safe use of equipment and maintain compliance with food safety and health regulations.

* Conduct regular health and safety checks and keep records of incidents or hazards.

Financial Oversight & Reporting

* Manage cash handling effectively, till balancing, and bank deposits to ensure accuracy and security daily in the envelope.

* Track daily, weekly, and monthly sales figures and expenses; report performance to ownership or senior management.

* Analyse performance data to identify trends, make informed decisions, and propose initiatives to increase revenue and reduce costs.

* Assist with budgeting and forecasting, ensuring the café meets financial targets.

Brand & Community Engagement

* Maintain the aesthetic, cleanliness, and brand presentation of the café, ensuring it aligns with the shop's identity.

* Collaborate with the directors to promote events, seasonal menus, and new product launches.

* Develop ideas for community engagement, such as local collaborations, sustainability efforts, or customer loyalty programs.

* Stay informed on industry trends and customer preferences to keep the café competitive and innovative.

Qualifications

* Customer Service and Communication skills
* Experience in Food & Beverage and Food Service
* Ability to drive Sales and manage a team
* Excellent organizational and time management skills
* Proven leadership and team management experience
* Flexibility to work weekends and holidays
* Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field is a plus
