We are seeking a Team Leader in Mansfield to provide hands-on supervision and leadership on a daily basis to meet agreed deadlines at Alstom.
Your Future Role
Take on a new challenge in Mansfield, applying your team leading expertise in a cutting-edge field. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will work alongside a dedicated and passionate Services team at Alstom UK&I.
Day-to-day, you will assist the Ops Manager in managing the shop floor at the Castlewood ALSTOM Electronics site by providing supervision and leadership. You will ensure high standards of health & safety, quality, efficiency, and service levels are maintained. You will also resolve shop floor issues promptly, support good communication, develop staff competencies, and implement continuous improvement tools. Additionally, you will assist with accurate recording of employee absences, holidays, and overtime as needed.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Operations Manager in daily management tasks
* Communicate company goals, safety practices, and deadlines to the team
* Motivate team members and assess performance
* Assist in team performance monitoring and provide encouragement
* Complete required documentation regularly
* Address team questions and oversee work quality and compliance
* Maintain high standards of the physical workspace
* Collaborate with other departments and attend meetings

Excellence in supervisory skills, leadership, communication, safety, time management, problem-solving, and achieving Alstom's on-time delivery (>98%).
