BDS are recruiting for an experienced housing support worker in Lincoln to provide high quality housing related support to a wide range of people with complex needs and ex-offenders who are experiencing difficulties in securing and sustaining their homes and living independently in the community. Duties and responsibilities * Engage with referral agencies including local authority central access points/ gateway services, statutory and voluntary sector agencies in order to generate referrals for the service as required. * Carry out an initial assessment of the service user to determine eligibility for the service. * Design and deliver an effective support plan with the service users referring to specialist agencies as applicable. * Maintain contact on a regular basis with service users in accordance with the requirements of the service * Support service users to engage in meaningful constructive activities to make effective use of their time and develop their confidence and skills. * Deliver practical life skill sessions, programmes with service users as required. * Maintain up to date records and produce relevant reports as required. Criteria: * Must have experience of working in floating support and working with complex needs and offenders. * Must have experience lone working * Car driver essential This is a full-time temp to perm position to include very occasional Saturdays.
