We are looking for a dynamic Community Clinical Lead Midwife to manage our out community maternity service based at Salisbury District Hospital. The role is to work as part of the Community Maternity team, ensuring safe, evidence-based midwifery care for women and their families. You will work collaboratively with the outpatient maternity matron, obstetricians, specialist midwives, midwifery assistants, GPs, and health visitors to ensure the smooth running of the service. The role includes a clinical element and participation in the duty manager rota.

Responsibilities
* Promote a holistic approach to maternity care and provide effective management and supportive midwifery leadership to the community midwifery teams.
* Work as an autonomous clinical midwife and advise staff in the area, acting as an effective role model and leader.
* Provide clinical, professional, and managerial leadership with responsibility for the efficient running of community services, including maternity hubs.
* Develop and implement strategies to improve the health of women and children in line with the Public Health agenda.
* Ensure a high standard of clinical care through efficient use of resources, liaison with other agencies, supervision of practice, and teaching of staff and students.
* Participate in implementing recommendations from national reports such as The Ockenden Report.
* Participate in the duty manager rota.
Qualifications
* Essential: Registered midwife currently registered to practice in the UK
* Mentorship preparation or equivalent
* NIPE trained practitioner
* Desirable: Recognised leadership course
Experience
* Essential: Qualified as a Band 6 midwife for >=5 years
* Recent leadership or management experience
* Clinical midwifery experience in all areas of antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care
* Recent NHS experience as a registrant for more than 5 years
* Desirable: Recent experience of working in a community maternity setting
