Stellenbeschreibung Business Development Manager – EMEA Reports to: Director - PowerGen Job Summary: Seeking a UK based dynamic and results driven Business Development Manager to drive sales growth of our Gas and Diesel power generation equipment. The candidate will be responsible for identifying, developing, and passing newly qualified business leads and opportunities across to the EMEA sales team. This role requires a strong technical understanding of power generation systems, excellent sales and negotiation skills, and the ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships. You’ll need to be tenacious, enthusiastic and comfortable with customer engagement at all levels with a “long-game” approach to prospecting. A good understanding of the electrical infrastructure of a typical commercial building is key to the role which will involve: Key Responsibilities : Identifying and conducting research into potential customers and target markets across the EMEA region Proactive development and implementation of strategies to generate new leads through various channels including networking, industry events, and online platforms. Analysis of market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and develop effective sales strategies. Building and maintaining strong relationships with key decision-makers, targeting consulting engineers, contractors, specifying engineers, procurement managers, and business owners. Conducting regular client meetings, technical presentations and product demonstrations to showcase the features and benefits of Rolls Royce mtu power generation equipment. Working with the EMEA based sales teams to prepare and deliver compelling proposals that meet customer needs and budget requirements. Maintaining regular communication with customers to ensure satisfaction and identify potential upselling or cross-selling opportunities. Maintaining a strong understanding of gas and diesel power generation equipment, including Engines, Generators, Kinetic Power Packs, Control systems, and related accessories. Staying up to date with industry trends, technological advancements, and multiple local regulatory requirements. Maintaining accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and sales pipeline data in the companies CRM system. Preparation and submittal of regular reports and forecasts to management. Attending sales meetings and participate in training programs. Person Profile: This position requires an enthusiastic person with good verbal and written communication skills who can communicate technical information sometimes to non-technical stakeholders, including investors and potential customers. This person should be self-motivated, able to work to strict deadlines, and able to work both independently and as part of a team when required. The applicant must be qualified / conversant with mtu power generation products (or similar) and balance of plant associated with complete power generation systems along with the ability to understand mechanical and electrical drawings. The successful applicant will be required to freely travel within the EMEA region as required and to spend time in Belgium / Germany for product training. The role is a mixture of office based (in East Grinstead) and time spent on customer sites often working closely with other members of the wider Rolls-Royce Power Systems business. Computer Skills - Computer literate with good keyboard skills. Proficient in MS Office, particularly Word, Excel and email. On the job training will be provided for SAP, CEC & MTU Business Portal Driving Licence & Passport - Full and Clean Driving Licence, UK Passport Holder. Language - Must be fluent in both written and spoken English. Literacy and Numeracy - Must be a competent writer of business letters and emails. Qualifications - Appropriate qualifications in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or similar relevant qualification or demonstrable industry experience.
