Foreman - Highways
What you will be doing:
You will work on our Infrastructure project and frameworks. Ideally, you will be based locally, although we are open to subsidizing relocation.
As a General Foreman, you will ensure works are executed safely, within the programme, and to the highest quality standards.
1. Participate in creating a knowingly safe working environment.
2. Manage site-based construction works daily.
3. Coordinate resources effectively for the project.
4. Ensure delivery of temporary and permanent works per design.
5. Manage materials and plant to meet programme and financial targets.
6. Assist in planning and programming with site engineering teams.
7. Participate in site discipline meetings for effective coordination.
8. Ensure RAMS and Permit to Work systems are in place before work begins.
9. Assist in preparing RAMS, COSHH assessments, and safety plans.
10. Communicate effectively with site teams and subcontractors.
11. Conduct site inductions with subcontractors.
12. Deliver toolbox talks and briefings.
13. Supervise subcontractors to meet safety, quality, and schedule requirements.
14. Ensure subcontractors adhere to their check sheets.
15. Record and update site diaries.
About You:
* Ability to work safely.
* Effective communication skills with site team and subcontractors.
* Experience in civil engineering construction, following ITPs, quality standards, and safety documentation.
* Confidence in delivering safety briefings.
* SSSTS, CSCS, TWS (preferred), St. John’s Ambulance (preferred).
