Learning Support Assistant
* Annual Salary: Grade 4
* Location: Camberley
* Job Type: Full-time, Term-time only

We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our vibrant team. This role is crucial in supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. The ideal candidate will work closely with teachers to provide tailored support and facilitate inclusive learning environments.

Day-to-day of the role:
* Supporting SEND Students' Learning:

o Tailor support across the curriculum to match individual learning needs.
o Encourage and develop students' independent and collaborative learning skills.
o Make reasonable adjustments to remove barriers to learning.
o Adapt curriculum materials as necessary to meet diverse learning needs.
o Promote social skills and positive learning attitudes.
* Pastoral Support:

o Enhance SEND students' resilience and safeguard their welfare.
o Support transitions and act as an advocate for SEND students.
* Support for Teachers:

o Collaborate with teachers in planning and resource preparation.
o Provide in-class support that aligns with student needs and subject requirements.
* Wider School Support:

o Contribute to the school's ethos and policies, particularly around inclusion and behaviour management.
o Assist in the administration of exams and support educational visits.
* Communication and Development:

o Maintain effective communication with the line manager and other departments.
o Engage in professional development activities, including training and departmental meetings.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Experience in supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities.
* Strong understanding of the strategies needed to foster an inclusive learning environment.
* Ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff and other school personnel.
* Commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
* Knowledge of safeguarding, health and safety, and confidentiality policies.
