About the Role
The company is seeking a highly motivated and experienced SEN Officer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing the EHC Needs assessment, annual review and placement process for children and young people from 0 years to age 25. The SEN Officer will have oversight and responsibility for complex casework, Mediation and Tribunals and will attend Mediation and pre-hearing Tribunal meetings as required.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage and oversee the EHC Needs Assessment and placement process for young people
2. Ensure that each assessment is handled efficiently and within Statutory deadlines
3. Ensure that children's assessed needs are accurately described in their EHCPs
4. Negotiate and secure educational provision and placements for children and young people across Hampshire
