Early Years Lead Practitioner Apprenticeship – Level 5– Tadpoles Daycare
The Aspire Training Team are currently recruiting for a punctual, reliable, and enthusiastic individual to join Tadpoles Daycare as a Level 5 Childcare Apprentice in a Nursery Manager role, covering Maternity Leave.
Tadpoles Daycare operates in a high-quality, modern environment where we aim to deliver the highest standards of teaching and care to children. Our goal is to inspire children’s imagination in surroundings that promote learning.
We are seeking a dedicated Nursery Manager (maternity cover) to oversee daily operations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for childcare and early childhood education, along with strong leadership skills.
This is an exciting opportunity to complete a Level 5 Apprenticeship in a leadership role within a friendly team at a fantastic setting.
Your roles and responsibilities will include:
* Managing and developing the nursery, leading operational management, staff, children, and equipment.
* Planning and implementing the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), aiming for an outstanding level of care and maintaining Good Ofsted accreditation.
* Handling financial operations, meeting targets, managing occupancy levels, and ensuring maximum utilization.
* Monitoring and assessing the quality of provision, policies, procedures, and standards.
* Reporting to the Community Centre Manager and Tadpoles Committee.
Hours:
* Open from 08:00 to 16:30.
* Working hours between 34-42.5 hours per week.
Requirements:
* Level 3 Early Years Childcare Qualification.
* GCSEs A*-C/4+ in English Language and Maths or equivalent (e.g., functional skills).
* Ability to obtain a clear DBS.
* At least 2 years’ leadership experience within an Early Years setting.
* Management and childcare experience.
Qualities Required:
* Passion for early years and staff development, with a dedicated and approachable leadership style.
* Safeguarding, Paediatric First Aid, and Food Hygiene qualifications.
* Ability to complete risk assessments and a commitment to CPD.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to develop good relationships with parents and professionals.
* Leadership skills to ensure high standards of early learning and childcare for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years.
