Parent Peer Support Worker
Location: Neath, Port Talbot & Swansea Area
Salary: £16,509.40 per annum (for 24 hours per week)
Hours: 24 hours per week

Mental Health Matters Wales are looking for a compassionate and understanding individual to join their Parent Peer Advocacy and Support Service (PPASS).
This is a unique opportunity for someone with personal lived experience of the child protection system or the children looked after system (as a parent or primary caregiver) to provide invaluable support, advice, and hope to other parents going through similar challenges.
The Role:
As a Parent Peer Support Worker, you will be a vital source of support for parents.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing one-to-one emotional and practical support.
Accompanying parents to meetings and providing emotional support
Offering befriending, mentoring, and motivation to help parents build confidence.
Signposting to other services and community resources.
Using your own lived experience to build trusting, professional

Parent Peer Support Advocate

Salary: £25,780.00 to £29,033.00 per annum
Hours: 37 hours per week (Permanent)

Mental Health Matters Wales are looking for a dedicated and skilled individual to join their Parent Peer Advocacy and Support Service (PPASS) in a leading role.
This is a key opportunity for someone with personal lived experience of the child protection system or the children looked after system (as a parent or primary caregiver), combined with professional advocacy experience, to provide crucial advocacy and hope to other parents.
The Role:
As a Parent Peer Advocate, you will be a vital source of formal advocacy for parents.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing a professional advocacy service for parents, representing their views and interests.
Supporting clients to self-advocate through coaching and rehearsing for meetings.
Providing clear information to help parents understand their rights and options
Accompanying parents to meetings, including child protection conferences and court proceedings.
Coordinating and working alongside a team of support workers to provide a wrap-around service.
