Role Overview
The Machine Technician is responsible for the installation, servicing, and maintenance of espresso machines, grinders, and brewing equipment across Ritual's wholesale network. This role ensures partners can consistently deliver exceptional coffee through reliable, well-maintained equipment.
The Technician will also act as a trusted advisor — providing technical support, preventative care, and on-site troubleshooting, while representing Ritual Coffee's values at every interaction.
Key Responsibilities
* Install and commission espresso machines, grinders, and filter systems at partner sites.
* Conduct scheduled servicing, maintenance, and safety checks across partner accounts.
* Diagnose and repair technical faults on espresso machines, grinders, and other coffee equipment.
* Maintain accurate service records, parts logs, and account history.
* Advise partners on correct equipment use, cleaning routines, and preventative maintenance.
* Work closely with the Account Trainer and Wholesale Manager to ensure partners have full support (technical + training).
* Provide technical support at events, trade shows, and internal Ritual activations.
* Keep up to date with industry standards, new technologies, and equipment upgrades.
Skills & Experience
* Previous experience as a coffee machine technician, engineer, or similar technical role.
* Strong knowledge of espresso machines, etc
* Ability to diagnose electrical, mechanical, and water system faults.
* Understanding of coffee extraction and barista workflow.
* Full UK driving licence (essential for travel to partner sites).
* Bonus: Electrical or plumbing qualification, or manufacturer training certifications.
