This new role will focus on supporting the business in three core areas: lead generation and subsequent conversion, retaining current clients through relationship management and maximising referrals.

Our Team:
Led by the Director of Marketing & Business Development, Suzanne Chaudhry, the Marketing & Business Development team plays a central role in supporting the firm's growth by driving strategic external and internal communications and marketing and BD activity to strengthen our brand presence and enable lawyers to build meaningful client relationships. The team collaborates across departments to plan and deliver targeted campaigns, events, and content, ensuring alignment with firm objectives and measurable impact.

The role will involve:
Making a creative and meaningful contribution to the firmwide BD strategy
Developing BD plan and agreeing targets for each High Growth Team and department
Designing tactics for effectively delivering the BD strategy
Using data to inform, educate and persuade lawyers to influence behavioural change
Bringing new BD opportunities to departments and advise on tactics for conversion
Designing, operating and delivering a lead generation and conversion strategy and reporting programme. Ensuring follow-up of incoming leads with partners and lawyers
Delivering programmes to enable legal teams to develop, track and demonstrate their BD activity with comprehensive follow-up and reporting mechanisms
Establishing pipeline processes and KPIs to support new business revenue targets and accurately forecast opportunities from pipeline reporting
As a Business Development Manager, you will be expected to:
Actively foster good relationships with key stakeholders across the firm to ensure their engagement
Monitor and report on competitors
Develop excellent industry knowledge via networking, training and research
Line manage a BD Assistant and develop their skills
Collaborate with the CRM Systems Executive on CRM software development for BD purposes (events, targeted contacts, activity and reporting)
Work with team colleagues on leads, subscriptions, BD content and to help plan content, events and webinars in line with department and firm objectives
Ensure strategic targeting and engagement with key clients and targets and oversee follow up with leads
Train team members on BD strategy and tactics
