In addition to the following functions, all employees are required to carry out duties as may reasonably be required from time to time:
- Maintain current care skills and undertake necessary training and development to ensure excellent care practice.
- Provide care in accordance with best practices, Honor Care Limited’s policies and procedures, agreed standards, legislative requirements, relevant regulations, under the direction of the Manager, and within the financial plans.
- Deliver care to service users based on their risk assessment and support plan, reporting any changes or concerns to the Manager or designated staff.
Location: Birmingham and neighbouring boroughs
The following duties are not in order of priority:
Assist service users with getting in and out of bed.
Implement individual planned care programmes for service users.
Maintain a clean and safe environment for service users and staff.
Assist with personal care tasks (washing, bathing, dressing, shaving, oral hygiene, hair care).
Support service users with mobility issues and physical disabilities, including incontinence.
Administer medication and assist with repeat prescriptions as needed.
Follow infection prevention protocols, including Covid-19 guidelines.
Make and change beds, tidy rooms, perform light cleaning, and empty commodes.
Prepare and assist with meals according to service users’ preferences.
Perform general cleaning and light housework.
Assist with shopping and preparing shopping lists.
Help service users with benefits and bill payments.
Launder service users’ clothing and bedding.
Write reports after each visit.
Complete relevant forms accurately.
Report accidents and incidents to senior staff.
Encourage service users to remain as independent as possible.
Report significant changes in the health or circumstances of service users to the Care Manager.
Report concerns regarding abuse or poor practices.
Salary / Benefits: £12.46 per hour (excluding holiday pay)
