Introduction About The BUSY School… The BUSY School is part of The BUSY Group, a not-for-profit organisation presenting over 47 years as a community partner providing employment services, vocational education and training, apprenticeships, mentoring, NDIS, disability employment support, and allied health services. The BUSY School is an independent Special Assistance School with 10 campuses across Cairns, Brisbane, and Gold Coast/Coolangatta, providing an alternative program for Year 11 and 12 students who are disengaged or at risk of disengaging from education. Each campus provides a supportive and safe learning environment for young people by providing them with an education program that includes vocational education and training (VET), work experience and opportunities for school-based apprenticeships and traineeships. Our team support the students to gain employability and transferability skills to increases their sense of wellbeing, resilience, belonging, academic achievement, career exploration and employment outcomes. Our teams’ focus is centred at re-engaging our students to learn, remain eligible for a Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) and gain employment or further training outcomes upon student’s graduation from Year 12. Description About the position As the Regional Industry and VET Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in bridging education and industry by ensuring consistent and high-quality delivery of integral industry engagement and vocational education programs across all BUSY School campuses within their region. You will support campus teams to embed authentic workplace experiences, create seamless pathways for students into employment, apprenticeships, and further training, maintain strong partnerships with industry and training providers. In this role, you will be reporting to The Head of Industry and VET Engagement. This exciting opportunity, commencing in 2026, is due to the growth of The BUSY School. The role is permanent full time and can be based at any campus but regular travel to service campuses across Queensland is expected. Strong understanding of vocational education frameworks, compliance requirements and industry standards Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain partnerships. High-level organisational and problem-solving skills Ability to lead and manage teams effectively and foster collaboration across multiple campuses Capacity to analyse data and use insights to inform continuous improvement Hold relevant qualifications in education, business administration or related field Ability to obtain a Blue Card and National Police Check with no disclosable outcomes Next steps This role will actively commence recruitment from the date of advertisement.
