Small Steps are looking for someone who is passionate and committed to working with children and supporting there learning and development at such an important age and to use your skills and knowledge to help children grow and take the next steps to a brighter future.
You will apply your knowledge of early years education through best practice to ensure our children have the best start in life and guide the children through a heart centred learning approach that allows children to learn naturally in a spacious and calm environment, rich with natural resources.
Responsibilities
* The Ideal candidate will be self motivated, enthusiastic and will need to have an up to date working knowledge of the Statutory Framework for Early Years..
* Proven experience in working with children under 5 and a genuine interest in early childhood education
* You will contribute to a programme of stimulating and exciting activities suitable to the age range of children in conjunction with the staff team, observing and planning to meet the individual needs of each child through awe and wonder and developing your role as a Key Worker.
* You must be prepared to have lots of fun in the workplace. Laughter is something you can expect to engage in for a large part of your working day.
* Finally, you must be prepared to feel loved, special and important to many young children and their families and help all children in their care to achieve the best start they can with us.
Safeguarding children's welfare is paramount you must ensure that the safety and welfare of the children is at the centre of all that you do within Small Steps.
Qualifications
* Experience in childcare or nursery settings
* Qualified Level 2, 3 or above in Child Care
* Background in early childhood education
* Strong communication skills
* Ability to work with children effectively
