A well-established manufacturing organisation is seeking a permanent Supply Chain Manager to join their team in Poole. This position offers a salary of around £50,000 and requires full on-site presence.
The Supply Chain Manager will oversee the efficient, cost-effective, and reliable movement of goods throughout the entire supply chain, spanning suppliers, production, warehousing, and customer delivery. Key responsibilities include managing logistics providers, optimising inventory levels, coordinating inbound and outbound planning, and facilitating cross-departmental collaboration to meet seasonal demand fluctuations and operational objectives.
Ideal candidates will have previous experience in supply chain management within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Role responsibilities of the Supply Chain Manager include:
Oversee end-to-end supply chain operations, including inbound materials, storage, and distribution, ensuring alignment with forecasts and production schedules.
Collaborate with Procurement, Production, Warehouse, and Sales teams to maintain material and stock availability.
Manage relationships with logistics partners, coordinate shipments, and ensure compliance with documentation and regulations.
Monitor inventory levels, identify risks of shortages or obsolescence, and oversee cycle counts for accuracy.
Track KPIs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and produce regular reports to improve efficiency and performance.Person Specification of the Supply Chain Manager:
Proven experience in supply chain, logistics, or operations management.
Hands-on experience with ERP or warehouse management systems.
Strong knowledge of stock control, logistics processes, and supply chain systems.
Excellent organisational, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, seasonal manufacturing environment and collaborate effectively with teams and partners.
