Construction Lawyer - Associate / Senior Associate
Location: Cardiff,
Experience: 4-8 PQE
Are you an experienced Construction Lawyer looking for a new challenge? Our client are a top 100 commercial law firm who are seeking a 4-8 PQE Associate or Senior Associate to join their thriving team, advising on both contentious and non-contentious construction matters. With a strong pipeline of high-profile transactional work, this role offers exposure to complex projects across multiple sectors.
The Role:
* Advising on JCT and NEC contracts from a construction and property development perspective.
* Handling PPP and PFI transactions, offering strategic legal support.
* Working with FIDIC and ICHEME contract forms for large-scale projects.
* Collaborating with colleagues across multiple offices, developing a wide-ranging skill set.
* Leading and contributing to challenging construction-related disputes and transactions.
Requirements:
* 4-8 PQE with strong construction law experience.
* Background in national, regional, or City law firms, or in-house at a major contractor, consultant, or public body.
* Confident and personable approach, comfortable with direct client engagement.
* Strong expertise in JCT and NEC contracts, and wider procurement experience (PFI/PPP).
* Technically excellent with strong commercial awareness.
* Exceptional communication skills and all round team player.
