Key Responsibilities Take responsibility for overseeing arboricultural and environmental projects and contracts, as delegated by the Contract Manager. Own the financial performance of your projects, providing regular tracking updates and ensuring budgets are adhered to. Lead and develop your team by setting work schedules, conducting site quality checks, and promoting best practices across all operations. Maintain strong client relationships, liaising regularly with clients and employees to ensure project requirements and company policies are met. Continuously monitor your performance and that of your team, striving for continuous improvement and achieving high standards. Manage materials, personnel, and equipment stocks for your projects. Collaborate effectively with other departments (Landscape & Environment, Consultancy, Finance, HR) to ensure the successful delivery of projects. Ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with legal and environmental best practices, particularly in collaboration with our Ecological and Consultancy divisions. Meet profit margin targets and ensure projects are completed on time and to specification. Actively seek new business opportunities and grow the client base within your remit, ensuring sustained business development. Implement Health & Safety policies, conduct inductions, and carry out PPE and site inspections. Prepare quotations, estimates, and respond to opportunities for new projects. Complete pre-qualification questionnaires and respond to Invitations to Tender. Core Skills and Requirements Proven experience in arboriculture and/or environmental project management. Strong leadership skills with the ability to build and maintain client relationships. Full, clean UK driving licence. In-depth knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and environmental laws. Solid project management experience with a track record of managing budgets and timelines. Excellent IT skills, particularly in project management and financial tracking tools. Strong mathematical and analytical skills. Desirable Skills / Qualifications Experience in Arboricultural / Environmental Contracting. Countryside Management experience. Knowledge of Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG). Experience working with local authorities. Background in planting and soft landscaping. Local experience or knowledge of the area. Working Hours: Standard working hours: 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Flexibility in start and finish times is available. Benefits: Company vehicle for commercial use.
