Join Our Caring Team!
Are you someone who has a caring nature and a desire to make a difference in people's lives? Do you thrive in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same? If you answered a resounding YES, we want to hear from you!
At Turning Point, we support individuals with Learning Disabilities across England. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the daily lives of our residents, helping them improve their living skills while also growing your own career through training and experience.
Where will I be working?
You will be based at Norman Mount, a purpose-built home in the BD2 area of Bradford. Here, you will support four adults with learning disabilities, empowering them to live as independently as possible.
Our residents have varying needs, from full support with personal care to those who require just a bit of encouragement. We provide 24-hour support, including waking night staff and a variety of early and late shifts.
We focus on creating a positive, family-like atmosphere, offering a strong circle of support. Our approach is person-centered, involving activities like shopping, budgeting, and cooking to help individuals gain independence.
Training and Development
We believe in investing in our team! We offer training opportunities to enhance your skills, not just in care but in various areas:
* Level 2 and 3 Lead Adult Care Worker
* Level 3 Operational Team Leader
Training begins after a 6-month probation period, and you will have a dedicated coach to guide you through your program.
Shift Patterns
This is a 24-hour service, so flexibility is key. Your shift pattern will vary based on your hours, and working hours may change.
Important: You must be a driver and hold a care certificate or health and social care L2 or higher to be considered for this role.
