We have a fantastic opportunity for a Project Manager to support our Mechanical Electrical HVAC Alliance (MEHA).
Our teams operate flexibly, with hybrid working arrangements, and we provide full IT equipment for effective remote work.
About the Role:
You will lead the formation and development of the MEH Alliance, overseeing engineering, procurement, and manufacturing activities. Your goal will be to de-risk the Final Investment Decision (FID) by replicating Hinkley Point C’s detailed design. You will act as a liaison between the MEH Alliance and the SZC team, ensuring collaboration and alignment with project objectives. Reporting to the SZC MEH client team, you will support project oversight, performance management, and strategic planning.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead multidisciplinary teams in design, procurement, and delivery of systems and contracts.
* Oversee MEH activities, ensuring specifications, schedules, and performance metrics are met.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to align engineering strategies and manage risks.
* Drive innovation and problem-solving to safeguard project schedules.
* Manage contracts, costs, schedules, and procurement activities.
* Apply lessons learned from Hinkley Point C for continuous improvement.
* Support post-FID contract development, drafting terms and technical specifications.
What We’re Looking For:
* Proven success in managing large engineering projects from concept to delivery.
* Expertise in mechanical, electrical, process, and systems engineering.
* Experience in procurement, contracts, and risk analysis, familiarity with EVM is desirable.
* Strong communication and leadership skills for stakeholder engagement.
* Technical oversight capabilities ensuring compliance and innovation.
Desirable Qualifications:
* Experience in the nuclear sector or large-scale energy projects.
* Chartered Engineer or project management qualification.
* Experience procuring industrial equipment contracts.
